what are your five favorite books?
jane eyre by charlotte bronte because i have reread it every year since i was about 13 and its better every time.
everything is illuminated by jonathan safran foer
teeth by hugh gallagher regardless of all the bad reviews it has on amazon.
it's kind of a funny story by ned vizzini
in the aeroplane over the sea by kim cooper because i am pathetic and its probably the only non-fiction book that will ever make me cry and because of julian koster's quote at the end of it:
"...But you wouldn't exist if the universe didn't need you. And any time I encounter something beautiful that came out of a human somewhere, that's them, that's their own soul. that's just pure, whatever its physicality is, if the person can play the piano, if they can't play the piano, if they're tone deaf, whatever it is, it's pure, it hits you like a sledgehammer. it fills up your own soul, it makes you want to cry, it makes you glad you're alive, it lets you come out of you. and thats what we need: we desperatley need you."

what makes you happy more than anything?

being on stage or creating things for the stage in the drama room.

what is your favorite memory of me?

whenever we get hysterical and laugh about things, like twilight or the interpretive dance walker. every car ride we had with padraic (except for the one coming back from the middle school after van, that was weird), and all the summer nights and how patient you were with me at OR's party.

in your opinion what is style~?

wearing whatever you want and making it look good in your own opinion and ngaf if people think it is trendy/ugly/expensive/hipster/trashy.

why blogging?
because i think a lot and can type faster than i can write, i can't talk about fashion to very many people, i am an exhibinionst and someday i will wake up and i won't be 16 years old and i want to remember what it's like. and because it is fun.

hey guys, airy had the fabulous idea of interviewing eachother to spice things up around here, so here is my part one of three of interviewing her. enjoy :)

what is your favourite time of day to take pictures and why?
arienette: hm.. that's really hard to answer because in the mornings everything is so clean and calm, along with the sunrise. midday is nice because if it's rainy or sunny you can capture it because it's the brightest. and then there's the late night party pictures yo.

what is the last thing you think about before you fall asleep?

arienette: usually the day that just happened. if something's bothering me, like a fight with someone or something straight up amazing happened i'll think about it and analyze it (if i'm in a fight i'll think about how to make it better). sometimes i'll go through my day and think about what would have happened if i had done things differently. or if its been a bad day i'll tell myself things will get better. i'm up late thinking a lot.

what is your favourite memory with me?

arienette: oh god. one of my favorites is when we lost padraic in vancouver and just that whole time there. seriously one of the highlights of my summer. but really i just love it when we hang out and don't really have to say anything. twilight was fun too.. or not lol.

if you could eliminate anything, or any person from your life, who or what would it be?

arienette: i think you know the certain people who i would elimiate from my life, but fuck you for this breezy. this is too hard of a question.

where do you want to be 5 years from now?

arienette: ideally i would be in med school, done pre-med. i really want to be in victoria actually. just being out of where we live would make me happy.

i like lists. i didn't care much for fashion week, so this might be a little harsh.

• i really like missoni fall. i can't narrow it down, cause i dig all of it.
• burberry prorsum= omggg. i think this is my favorite of it all that i've seen.
• okay, in my opinion alexander wang was lacking. i'm sorry. however i did like this.
• i liked helmut lang because of how plain it was.
• my feelings about max azria taking over hervé léger is basically: BCBG. not interesting to me. idk i've seen better.
  
• i didn't like emporio armani. sorry b.
• erin fetherston: same last name as someone i know but i still don't like it.
• i'm in love with marc jacobs, but with marc by mj i kept getting distracted by the tights.
• proenza schouler... hm. i accept.
• rag and bone. YES. i wear shit like this already. love.
• rodarte.. i'm indifferent.
• thakoon= no to the hats but yes to the rest.
• twenty8twelve. meh.
• vera wang and then her lavender label. yeah idk when i think about vera wang's line herself i think light shit and tulle. so this was a bit of a change, and idk how i feel about it. it seemed like with lavender label she was trying so hard to toughen it up.. a bit too much for me.
• i have nothing to say about william rast.
• yeah luella.. i've for sure seen better.
• marchesa is sooo beautiful. this. and this..
• jason wu... this makes me want to be draped in color!! i love the gowns.
• derek lam, idk.

my life for the law trip: brownies made from scratch and tri-blendddd. i did three tests today.. and a blank scene turned monologue in front of acting today (which i don't think i did that well on). joy! i'm still sick and i think it's getting worse. law work awaits me, and journal reflecting for acting. night guys! love you all. -arienette.

possible new (old) hair color? it's been taunting me. since i saw coco rocha's hair, to this photo in my inspiration folder, that's been there for ages. so beautiful. i've gotten tons of compliments on all the colors my hair has been, from blond to light brown to red to dark brown (which it is now). law field trip tomorrow! pictures to come :)

HEY!
i am posting this via my MACBOOK!!! at my friend's sister's apartment. i am leaving beautiful vancity tomorrow night (sad) and returning back to my humble abode (happy) and to you, faithful readers (who am i kidding, you all read for arienette anyways)! vancouver has been like this:
-eat sushi
-learn learn learn learn learn
-meet two people from the cast of dead like me!!
-hang out outside the art gallery
-talk to buskers. leave a note for one of them. plan on getting note dude's name so i can keep track of him for when he gets famous.
-spend far too much time walking around enjoying the sunshine.
-shop (pics on saturday when i get home)

my camera is FINALLY back!! i'm so happy :) among getting my beloved snappy back i also got these cute little hair clips from a vintage shop, and a grey aa tri-blend raglen (i've got one in evergreen). to prepare for tomorrow i've gotta go and study about passchendaele, ypres, the sommes.. etc. hope all your weekends were lovely!! xx -a
